California offers a variety of organizations and state institutions supporting individuals with special education needs, including those on the autism spectrum. These resources include non-profits, state agencies, and specialized programs within the California Department of Education.


State Agencies and Departments:
The CDE’s Special Education Division provides leadership, resources, and support for special education programs statewide.
SCDD advocates for individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism, and their families.
SELPAs are regional entities that provide special education services to students within their designated areas.
- DCC provides assessment, consultation, and training services to support students with disabilities, including those with autism.
Organizations:
